V.S. Analysis: Luz Noceda

This blog will obviously be going over Massive Spoilers of the whole series so far as the series is currently ongoing(Season 1- Season 2B). So if you haven't watched the series yet, I'd recommend checking out the show first so you won't get your whole experience spoiled.

This is my first ever Analysis blog so yeah it might not be the best but I had some fun making it

                                           Background

Luz Noceda is a 14-Year old girl from an afro-Latina family who struggled with fitting in at school; being known as the weird kid for her interests[Bringing Spiders along with her releasing snakes on school property and almost set off fireworks to  renaact  a fantasy vision she had entailed.] Her Mother, Camilia, worried about her Daughter's fixation on Fantasy as she decides for Luz to go to summer camp, a good chance to make real friends and become more mature .However, Luz on her way to the bus stop stumbled upon an Owl door to get back her fantasy novel Azura only to appear in a completely new world known as the Boiling isles. She runs into the person who stole her book(Eda the Owl lady), a powerful sorcerers who can use almost any type of magic; but at the same time is a convicted criminal running from law. Now Luz has to find her way home but as she lived there(the girl decided to fulfill her isekai fantasies & become a witch in training).

Equipment/Arsenal:

                                               Witch's Cloak

° A magical cape created  from Witch's Wool, given to her by Eda that acts as a repellent to powerful Magic spells.

Glyphs 

°Symbols that once drawn on the ground or say sticky notes,, it can access multiple different magic spells depending on what's written

- Can even mix and match Glyphs together to form more powerful combinations 

              Ice Manipulation w/Ice Glyphs

    °This Glyph can generate ice structures in several different forms 

- Incases targets in Ice

- Making a icicle spear

•has used it disarm foes before like Hunter's staff

- A Barrage of ice blocks

- Ice pillars that sends targets flying or act a defensive option

- Ice walls

       

                                Fire Manipulation w/Fire Glyphs 

° This Glyph can ignite things on fire when its placed on something 

- Wide-spread Fire slashes (0:28)

- Can send out a barrage of flames by her palms

-Can also explode things upon impact

                    Plant Manipulation w/Plant Glyphs 

     °This type of glyph can create and manifest plant life

- Can even make a Catapult made up of roots to propel her

-Grappling as well as for apprehending foes.

                      Light Manipulation w/Light Glyphs

°This Glyph emits a ball of light when casted 

- Can be used offensively by blasting foes back with beams of light(0:15)

-Shown to blind targets by flashing it in front of them(0:27)

                          Invisibility w/Invisibility Glyphs

Self-Explanatory 

°This glyph allows the user to become invisible for about a few seconds to escape the target.

-Can affect other people as well 

▪︎Made herself and Amity invisible (0:14)

▪︎Eda and Raine caused themselves to turn invisible(0:54)

       

              Snow Creation/Transmutation w/ Snow Glyphs

°This Glyph is a Combination of multiple glyphs

Notably Ice + Plant 

- Produces hordes of snow that can be used to restrain foes (0:40)

- Shown by Lilith, that it can Transmute Icicles into snow(6:09)

-Generated Smokescreens covering the battlefield in a huge fog(1:17)

-Caused Kikimora to fall asleep with a certain glyph combo

• Formed a Cherry Blossom Tree after defeating Grom(107 Tons of TNT)

°Questionable & rather dubious [Debatable feat]

• Broke through a Belos's Mask with an ice glyph

• Evades swarms of Flames casted by inner Willow

• Confronted & kept pace with Harpy Eda 

Who should scale to this:

• Eda herself is capable of  dodging Light Blasts from Raine (Mach 151-678  )

• Lilith can move in tandem to react against Eda's Light spells(0.024c-0.414c)

• Lilith reacting to Luz's light glyph ( 1.0055c)

• Comparable to Amity, who Intercepted a Laser blast from a cannon (2.06c)

• Sent a light glyph into the night sky aemong the constellations(93 Million c )

°Questionable & rather dubious [Debatable feat]

                                           Durability 

•Survived a free-fall that crushed a house

•Withstood King's Sonic Scream

° keep in Mind, King's Sonic Roar can break this rock formation(3 Kilotons of TNT)

                                         Weaknesses

Luz despite her versatile arsenal of magic, still has her faults like how alot of the time, she is prone to act reckless(whether it be her fight against the Golden guard) or how she struggles against more experienced Magic users(her battles with Belos are a perfect example of this).As for her Glyphs, Luz is required to write a symbol for them to form & it's revealed in the Season 1 finale that her magic is ineffective in the Human realm.Her Invisibility Glyph requires her to hold her breath to keep it together.

Note: While this last part is usually where the possible opponents are talked about but in all honesty, the only potentially opponents are her more requested Matchups(Akko vs Luz or Luz vs Anne).
